ALTER/NATIVE BY SUMA
Alter/Native is the personal care range by Leeds based co-op, Suma. By harnessing the power of plants, they’ve created some gorgeous products that are great for your hair and your skin, as well as the planet.
All of their products are made in the UK, and by local, small craft makers wherever possible.
BioD deliver their products to us from their factory in Hull in containers made from 100 per cent recycled material made from used plastic bottles that might otherwise have gone to landfill.
Bumboo are a London based oragnisation with a mission to produce a quality rapidly-renewable and sustainable product whilst also supporting rural smallholders and cooperatives in China where they source their bamboo. They also contribute to the Eden Project's "Buy One Plant One" scheme, planting a tree for every box of toilet rolls sold in a bid to combat global deforestation.
EcoLiving, based in Sussex, are committed to stopping microplastic from entering our oceans, with all their products designed to combat waste and plastic pollution. They are a member of 1% For The Planet, donating a portion of profits to protecting our oceans from plastic pollution, and are in partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects, planting native trees to help stop climate change and reduce extreme poverty.
Ecovibe was started by a group of friends working together in Leeds as a response to their collective frustration at the growing problem of plastic. Their products are designed and developed with help from customer feedback and requests, and must be eco friendly, ethically produced and sustainable.
FAITH IN NATURE
Faith in Nature think everyone should beneﬁt from what the Earth provides and believe that using naturally derived, Cruelty Free, Vegan ingredients at their factory in Greater Manchester is what makes their products work so beautifully.
Fill make everything themselves at their own family-run factory in Northamptonshire, with real chemists combining biodegradable ingredients to create simple, modern & effective eco cleaning & laundry products with no dyes and no harsh chemicals.
Friendly Soap, based in West Yorkshire were awarded The Green Parent Natural Beauty Award 2019. Their ranges contain no animal products or by-products and have never been tested on animals, and their ancient cold-process method means our soap is totally biodegradable and free from by-products too, so there’s literally no waste.
Georganics are a Kent based manufacturer of natural & eco-friendly oral care products, committed to the highest quality ingredients. All of their products are hand-crafted in small batches, made from natural ingredients that are sourced as locally as possible. Their packaging is specifically designed to produce no waste to avoid clogging up landfill sites. They do not test on animals, and all the products stocked by The Bottle Swap are suitable for vegans.
Livecoco, based in London, specialise in recyclable products- particularly for the bathroom, to help reduce plastic waste.
Miniml are an independent family business who manufacture all of the products in their factory in Yorkshire. They reuse and refill every bottle and container that they supply to create a completely zero waste supply chain. All of their formulations are Biodegradable, Vegan, Cruelty Free and Palm Oil Free.
SALT OF THE EARTH
Salt of the Earth deodorant sprays are manufactured in Hampshire by Crystal Spring. They strive to offer top-quality products which don’t just offer long-lasting protection from body odour, but also have minimal impact on the environment. They are against any form of animal testing and the deodorants themselves are 100% natural and Vegan approved.
SESI are a social enterprise based in Oxfordshire and a key provider of ethical detergents which help everyone to become part of a circular economy. While their detergents are already sustainable, SESI vow continue to pioneer new design of products, raising the sustainable bar.
Shade sun cream was developed in Oxon by Tania Wedin when she was frustrated at the lack of simple, all-natural suncreams on the market. It has won a number of awards since its development in 2014 and continues to increase in popularity.
VEGAN FOOD WRAPS
The Vegan Food Wrap Company is part of The Beeswax Wrap Company, based in The Cotswolds. They developed their vegan wax wraps as an alternative to beeswax for people who have made a choice to follow a vegan lifestyle.
They are committed to supporting UK businesses and as much as possible source ingredients locally, using 100% vegan wax made in the UK from 100% non-GMO sustainably sourced plants.
&SISTERS, based in London, make pH-neutral cotton period products using soft, breathable organic cotton which is grown without the use of fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides, and processed without chlorine. Every last bit of their cotton period products are sustainably-sourced, recyclable and biodegradable.
Plus, through the &SISTERS Foundation, they donate 10% of their profits to help tackle period poverty across the globe.
Based in rural Wales, Kutis (from the Latin "Cutis", meaning "true skin") believe that the natural world provides all we need for our skin. They hand make their natural skincare and deodorants from ethically sourced, minimally processed, raw ingredients where possible.
